Definition : Environmental monitoring software designed to operate temperature monitors, control/monitor a limited number of their functions, and/or process data obtained while monitoring. This software is intended to work only with one or a few models of temperature monitors, usually from the same manufacturer. The software may perform a variety of algorithms to facilitate the operation and analysis of the measurements performed while monitoring temperature (e.g., graphical display of temperature trends in a period of time) in enclosed environments such as chambers, refrigerators, and/or freezers.
