Definition : Bandages impregnated with zinc oxide paste. These bandages usually are made of an absorbent material (i.e., cotton) impregnated with a zinc oxide paste or a zinc oxide mixture (e.g., 10%, 20%) and may contain other drugs. Zinc oxide medicated bandages are usually supplied in long, rolled pieces; they are used in the management of wounds such as leg ulcers, eczema and dermatitis.
