Recorders, Graphic, Trend

Definition : Graphic recorders designed to record changing physiologic variables (e.g., heart rate, temperature, respiration rate) and/or their positive or negative changes from a preset "normal" value over a period of time up to one or two months. Most recorders include an sensor appropriate for the variable to be measured or data taken from patient monitors. The chart speed is very slow (e.g., 1 cm/hr), allowing continuous recording without the need to replace the paper roll. These recorders are used to evaluate the long-term changes in patients' conditions.

Entry Terms : "Recorders, Long-Term, Trend" , "Trend Recorders" , "Recorders, Trend"
