Dressings, Nonimpregnated, Biological
Definition : Plain (nonimpregnated) dressings made of inert materials of animal and/or human origin. These dressings are usually nonadhesive, typically made of pig and/or human cadaver tissue. Biological dressings are intended to absorb wound exudates and promote wound healing; they are frequently used in the management of large skin wounds and burns.
