Testers, Leakage Current

Definition : Testers designed to perform alternating-current (AC) and direct-current (DC) leakage current measurements (usually in a range from 1 A to 20 mA). These testers typically consist of an instrument that can measure AC and DC in the appropriate range and accessories designed to perform the assessment according to the physical characteristics of the device under test. Leakage current testers are typically used to assess the leakage current flowing to ground, as well as patient lead (i.e., applied part) and chassis (i.e., enclosure) leakage currents.
