Exercisers, Muscle Strength, Lever/Pulley-Cable, Upper Limb/Trunk

Definition : Muscle strength exercisers designed to provide resistance to muscular contraction in the upper limbs and/or the trunk using a mechanism based on a system of pulleys and cables or levers. These exercisers usually consist of a stand-alone machine with weights stacked on top of each other or a hydraulic mechanism, a system to transmit the force (i.e., to convey the resistance), and lever bars or pulley cables on which the user exerts force to counteract the exerciser resistance. Upper limb/trunk muscle strength exercisers can be used to exercise the upper limb (e.g., bicep curl, triceps extension) and/or trunk (front pull down, chest press, bent over row, abdominal crunch) muscles. They are intended to improve muscle strength in the upper limbs (arm, shoulder, elbow, forearm, and wrist) and/or trunk.

Welcome to Access To Recreation. We have been in business for over 20 years and our goal is to provide our customers with products that give them the ability to enjoy activities that they once thought impossible.

The idea for GPK germinated in the 1980's when Kurt Simonson, a tetraplegic (quadriplegic) due to a C4-C6 spinal cord injury, couldn't find any equipment that allowed completely unassisted upper-body and aerobic rehabilitation, as well as conditioning, to improve and maintain functional independence.
