Recorders, Electronic Storage, Data, Environmental Air Temperature
Definition : Electronic storage data recorders designed primarily for storing electronic information regarding the environmental temperature. These recorders typically consist of a portable electronic unit including a mechanism for periodically sampling the temperature in the air using appropriate sensors, thermometers to measure temperatures in the air in a wide range of temperatures (e.g., from -40? to 160?F /-40?to 70?C), and a solid state memory capable of storing samples in the order of several thousands. Dedicated software for downloading the results in a standard computer (e.g., personal computer) is necessary for some recorders. Environmental air temperature electronic recorders are used for long-term recording of air temperature; they may be intended for use indoors, outdoors, or in both conditions.
