Definition : Manual saws designed to cut the spinal cord during autopsy and dissection (i.e., postmortem) procedures. These saws are typically handheld, manual instruments with a sturdy metal structure; a handle; a detachable, curved, wide, serrated double blade; and a guiding attachment. Spinal manual postmortem saws are intended to uniformly and accurately cut spinal cord bones.
