Clamps, Surgical, Lung
Definition : Surgical clamps designed for the atraumatic grasping or compression of a portion of the lungs during open-surgery procedures. These clamps are typically handheld, manual instruments including two parts pivoted at the center with curved, serrated, distal blades and appropriate handles. Dedicated pulmonary clamps are available for wedge resections of portions of a lung; some lung clamps can be also used as bronchus clamps and/or to occlude the pulmonary artery and veins.
