Definition : Brushes designed to remove debris from clinical laboratory labware. These brushes typically include a set of tufts of bristles or other flexible materials that are mounted along a single plane at the distal end of a handle or radiate from a central shaft for proper manipulation. Labware cleaning brushes can be used in a variety of devices; dedicated labware brushes of the appropriate shape, size, and materials are available for cleaning beakers, bottles, test tubes, jars, and pipettes.
