Cabinets, Treatment, Otorhinolaryngology
Definition : Cabinets designed to store, display, and provide ready access to instruments, devices, and materials (e.g., local anesthetics) used in ear, nose, and throat diagnoses and treatment; they usually have a working surface (e.g., the top of the cabinet) intended to facilitate the procedure. This furniture typically consists of a stand-alone, multiple drawer, shelf, or shelf/drawer cabinet, it may have hinged or sliding (either glass or solid) doors. Otolaryngology cabinets may include otoscopes and/or otoscope sets; they may also include attachments for suction and pressure pumps, electrosurgical units, fiber optic light sources, built-in grounded electrical outlets, security locks, and/or small wheels for easy movement. They are used in hospitals and physician's offices.
