Stents, Vascular, Renal Artery
Definition : Vascular stents designed for deployment into the renal arteries to provide support and/or to maintain patency within the artery; they typically consist of a metallic, very flexible balloon-expandable meshlike tube. These stents usually have a thick wall in the ostial part to obtain a high radial strength and a thin wall with a bent tip in the distal part to increase their flexibility, allowing easier access to the renal artery.
