Exercisers, Flexibility, Full Body, Trapeze
Definition : Full-body flexibility exercisers designed to improve the range of motion (i.e., flexibility) around the joints by stretching the major muscle groups in the body using trapezoid-like bars. These exercisers may consist of short moveable bars hanging from springs supported by a metal frame installed on a horizontal table or of triangle steel bars hanging from chains supported by a metal frame attached to a bed; both types assist users in many kinds of stretching exercises of the upper limbs, trunk, and lower limbs (and may also help users to change their positions in bed). Trapeze exercisers consisting of a short wooden or steel bar hanging from two ropes or chains supported from above, used in acrobatics or in gymnastics, are also available. Trapeze exercisers are mainly intended to improve the flexibility of the muscles in the upper limbs, trunk, and lower limbs; they can also increase muscle strength, balance, coordination, and/or cardiovascular endurance; they are frequently used in physical therapy and rehabilitation.
