Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (typically urine) to determine nuclear mitotic apparatus protein (NMP), a protein that makes up the internal structure of the nucleus (i.e., a nuclear matrix protein) and is usually known as NMP22. Increased levels of NMP22 are found in urine of patients with transitional cell carcinoma of the urinary tract.
