Definition : Immunoassay reagents that include antibodies specific for two or more antigens or antigenic epitopes (i.e., polyvalent antisera). They are usually the result of the response of an animal host to immunogen administration. Polyvalent antisera are frequently used in immunoassays in the clinical laboratory, particularly in the determination of plasma protein concentrations.
