Definition : Reagents, usually liquids, used as a medium capable of supporting the primary culture of cells, usually peripheral whole blood and/or bone marrow; amniotic fluid and/or chorionic villi cells are also used in cytologic diagnostic procedures. These reagents are typically supplied in kits containing all necessary substances for chromosome diagnostics.
