Definition : Microbiology reagents intended to identify species of Campylobacter, family Spirillaceae, by detecting the target bacteria, usually through tests performed on bacteria cultures. Some species of Campylobacter bacteria may cause diarrhea and acute gastroenteritis; these bacteria may also cause proctitis.
