IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Serology, Bacteria, Streptococcus Species, Antibody, Deoxyribonuclease B
Definition : Serology reagents intended to detect antibodies to deoxyribonuclease B (Dnase B antibodies) that develop in response to or as the result of a preceding Streptococcal infection; streptococcus is a genus of spherical bacteria of the family Streptococcaceae. Streptococci that are pathologic to humans include S. pneumoniae (pneumococcus), a major respiratory tract pathogen and the most common cause of pneumonia, and S. pyogenes, which is one of the most important bacterial human pathogens, causing a wide range of suppurative diseases (e.g., pharyngitis, otitis media, sinusitis, endocarditis) and nonsuppurative sequelae (e.g., acute rheumatic fever). Dnase B antibodies are associated with some autoimmune diseases, including rheumatic disorders (e.g., poststreptococcal reactive arthritis).
