Reagents, Immunoassay, Vitamin, D Metabolite, 1,25-Dihydroxyvitamin D
Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses on a body fluid sample (e.g., serum) to determine 1,25-dihydroxyvitamin D, also known as 1,25-(OH)2-D, a metabolite of both vitamin D2 and D3. These assays are not designed to differentiate between D2 and D3 metabolites. Decreased levels of this metabolite are associated with renal failure, hypercalcemia, or malignancy and other diseases.
