IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Immunoassay, Tumor Marker, Carbohydrate Antigen CA 15-3
Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of a sample of body fluids (e.g., serum) to determine CA 15, a carbohydrate-related antigen tumor marker. The detection of the tumor marker CA 15 is mostly used in monitoring therapy and disease progression in metastatic breast cancer, but not to diagnose primary breast cancer. High levels of CA 15 are also found in pancreatic, ovarian, colorectal, and hepatic malignancies.
