IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Immunoassay, Cardiac Marker
Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of a sample of body fluids (e.g., serum, plasma) to determine substances (i.e., cardiac markers) liberated from the myocardium into the plasma. The type and level of liberated substances (typically proteins or enzymes) are used in the diagnosis of the occurrence and extent of heart damage, mostly as the result of myocardial infarction.
