Definition : Clinical chemistry reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative chemical analyses of body fluids (typically serum) to determine the level of the enzyme malate dehydrogenase. The level of malate dehydrogenase in serum is increased in several diseases, including myocardial infarction, hepatic necrosis, neoplastic diseases, and megaloblastic anemia.
