Definition : Clinical chemistry reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative chemical analyses of body fluids (typically serum) to determine the level of the enzyme lysosyme (also known as muramidase and mucopeptide glycohydrolase). The level of lysosyme in serum is increased in several diseases, including monomyelocytic leukemia and granulomatous inflammation.
