Reagents, Clinical Chemistry, Enzyme, 5'-Nucleotidase
Definition : Clinical chemistry reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative chemical analyses of body fluids (typically serum) to determine the level of the enzyme 5'ribonucleotide phosphohydrolase (abbreviated as 5'NT or NTP). NTP activity is increased two- to sixfold in hepatobiliary diseases in which there is interference with the secretion of bile, as occurs when the bile duct is obstructed by stones or tumors or with biliary cirrhosis.
