Warming Units, Contrast Media
Definition : Warming units designed to store and warm contrast-media vials before administration. These units include cabinets with appropriate shelves capable of warming many (e.g., 10 to 40) vials simultaneously; the temperature range is typically from room temperature to 60 degrees C (140 degrees F). Contrast-media warming units are used to reduce the viscosity in highly viscous contrast agents such as those with high iodine concentration.
