Definition : Intrauterine catheters designed to destroy the inner mucous membrane of the uterus (endometrium). These catheters are mostly used for control of excessive uterine bleeding occurring at regular intervals (i.e., hypermenorrhea or menorrhagia) in the absence of malignancy.
