Definition : Stimulators that apply signals with frequencies well above the upper limit of perception of the human ear (ultrasonic). Ultrasonic stimulators basically consist of an electric energy source, an electric-to-ultrasound transducer, and a delivery system for the ultrasonic waves. Most of these stimulators are used to elicit a measurable response for therapeutic or experimental purposes.
