Stimulators, Electrical, Peripheral Nerve
Definition : Electrical stimulators designed to apply electrical stimuli to the peripheral nerves (i.e., the nerves outside the brain and spinal cord). These stimulators typically consist of an electric pulse generator and attached electrodes; both the pulse generator and the electrodes may be implanted or applied externally to the limbs or trunk. Dedicated peripheral stimulators intended for analgesia and acupuncture treatments and/or to asses block monitoring and evoke potentials response are available.
