Thermometers, Electronic, Thermistor/Thermocouple
Definition : Electronic thermometers that include sensors that convert changes in temperature in heavy metal oxides (thermistors) into electrical resistance variations, or sensors that convert variations of temperature at the junction of two different metals (thermocouples) into electric voltage variations. The variations in resistance or voltage are in turn converted to temperature readings and displayed.
