Definition : Lasers that can produce either a neodymium-doped yttrium-aluminum-garnet (Nd:YAG) or a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser beam. The combined device offers both the cutting capabilities of CO2 energy and the hemostatic capabilities of Nd:YAG energy, allowing the surgeon to make bloodless incisions.
