Contourographs

Definition : Graphic recorders in which continuous, time-varying signals are segmented and stacked sequentially atop each other, either manually or using a computer. These recorders may be used in measurements of blood pressure, ECG or any other quasi-periodic wave. Contourographs can be used for assessing the time variation of physiological parameters over periods. much longer than the inherent cycle length of the variable being recorded.
