Definition : Dental lights used for polymerization of light-cure resin-based composites in dental laboratories. These lights may be used on several different materials that are curable by light. The light used falls under the visible blue light spectrum and is delivered over a range of wavelengths. There are different types of polymerization dental curing lights, such as halogen, light-emitting diodes (LED), plasma-arc curing (PAC), and laser, but the two main sources of dental curing lights are halogen and LED.
