Reagents, Microbiology, Bacteria, Identification, Neisseria Species
Definition : Microbiology reagents intended to identify species of Neisseria, a genus of bacteria of the family Neisseriaceae. The genus Neisseria includes several pathologic species, such as N. gonorrhoeae (i.e., gonococci) and N. meningitidis. Neisseria identification reagents may be specific for either manual or automated tests; frequently, these tests are combined with tests to identify Haemophilus bacteria.
