IVD Test Reagent/Kits, Immunoassay, Protein, Transport, Ceruloplasmin

Definition : Immunoassay reagents intended to perform qualitative and/or quantitative analyses of body fluids to determine ceruplasmin (CER), the principal copper-containing protein in human plasma and one of the acute-phase reactants. Decreased levels of ceruplasmin combined with increased copper concentration are associated with an inherited disease characterized by a defect in the metabolism of copper (Wilson's disease, also called hepatolenticular degeneration). Increased CER levels are common in infections, trauma, biliary duct obstruction, and Hodgkin's disease.

Entry Terms : "Ceruploplasmin (CER) Determination Reagents" , "CER (Ceruploplasmin) Determination Reagents" , "Reagents, Ceruloplasmin" , "Reagents, Immunoassay, Protein, Transport, Ceruloplasmin"
