Prostheses, Dental, Fixed, Veneer
Definition : Dental prostheses designed to cover the surface of teeth to improve their appearance. These prostheses typically consist of a thin custom-made laminate (i.e., a shell) usually made of porcelain or, less frequently, of resin composite materials that are bonded to the tooth surface (sometimes only the front surface) after removing about 0.5 mm of tooth enamel (approximately the same thickness of the veneer). Porcelain veneers resist stains and mimic the light reflection of natural tooth enamel better than resin veneers, but the less frequently used resin veneers are thinner and require removal of less tooth enamel. Dental veneers may modify the color, shape, size, and/or length of teeth; they are used mainly for cosmetic reasons on discolored, misaligned, worn, and chipped or broken teeth. Dental fixed veneers usually last up to 10 years. The procedure is considered irreversible, and after 10 years the veneers should be replaced.

GCA's corporate philosophy can be summarized in one short , but richly significant word: SEMUI. Semui is a term drawn from ancient Buddhist teachings and literally means "There is no fear if you do nothing for your own sake." Although the original meaning includes more profound philosophical ideas, one can compare it with the similar Golden Rule: "Do Unto Others as You Would Like Them to Do Unto You."
