Catheters, Vascular, Embolectomy/Thrombectomy
Definition : Vascular catheters designed for removal of clotted blood and/or other formed elements (e.g., calcium fragments) either causing vascular obstruction at the point of their formation (thrombus) or brought by the blood from another vessel and forced into a smaller one, thus obstructing the circulation (embolus). These catheters are used for removal of embolus and thrombus in native vessels, as well as in artery and hemodialysis access grafts.
