Dryers, Labware

Definition : Dryers designed to remove moisture from laboratory glassware (e.g., burets, beakers, test tubes) using heat. These dryers typically consist of an electric heat source and an enclosure with appropriate holders and shelves for the glassware; some devices include an internal ventilator to provide forced air. Labware dryers are used after labware is properly washed; current labware washers frequently integrate washing and drying capabilities.
