Radiographic Quality Assurance Devices

Definition : Devices that are capable of measuring and logging multiple variables for the maintenance of imaging standards in the diagnostic radiology department. Quality assurance kits generally contain a dosimeter, focal spot test tool, kVp test cassette, timer, and beam alignment and collimator test pool. Quality assurance addresses administrative, educational, and technical issues. Quality control, which is part of quality assurance, comprises a series of technical procedures designed to ensure optimum performance of equipment in the radiology department.
