Stereotactic Headframes

Definition : Devices that are affixed to a patient's skull to allow precise localization of an area within the brain targeted for a neurosurgical or radiosurgical procedure. These units typically consist of a head ring assembly with fixation screws or pins, an arc system for setting target coordinates and localizer frames and adapters for CT, MRI and other imaging systems.
