Definition : Ultrasonic power meters designed to assess the peak power (to check cavitation) and the average power (related to total energy consumption) of ultrasonic cleaning systems. These devices are designed to measure at frequencies between 25 and 60 kHz; the results are commonly expressed in power/volume (e.g., W/g) units. These devices usually consist of a sensor (e.g., a microphone) that is immersed in the tank of the cleaning system and a measuring unit with a display.
