Definition : Diode lasers used to alter cellular behavior in the absence of significant heating, typically delivering 1 to 4 Joules per centimeter squared to treatment sites. These lasers have low output power, usually 10 to 90 mW. Diode biostimulation lasers are typically used to treat musculoskeletal injury, pain, and inflammation.
